Téa Pusey

Undergraduate Research Assistant

Téa is a third year Sociology major with a double minor in Natural Sciences Education and Psychology at UC Merced. Throughout her time as an undergraduate, Téa has valued the research opportunities that have been offered to her. Téa has been a SATAL intern since January 2019, where she has led interviews and focus groups, as well as learned how to conduct COPUS observations. Along with this, Téa has been a research assistant at the MESH Lab since August 2019, where she has gotten hands-on experience running participants, as well as been involved in an independent study. After Téa graduates in Spring 2022, she hopes to achieve her PhD, become a professor, and study the social inequalities within education.

Undergraduate Research Assistant

I entered undergraduate research over the summer through SURF because I wanted to see if I'd enjoy being a researcher and to get research experience to make entering research easier. I aim to get involved in immunological research after graduating and help create vaccines for antibiotic resistant bacteria. In my free time I make art, play video games and exercise.
